A recital by ravishing soprano, Angela Hicks, charting the career of one of Handel’s most famous stars, Francesca Cuzzoni. Opera Settecento will perform music by Vivaldi and Orlandini, on which Cuzzoni cut her teeth, and will follow her meteoric rise through the music of Handel, as well as her treacherous defection to Handel’s rivals’ opera company with music by Porpora and Hasse.
